This document is a report
on the Government’s new strategy for sustainable development (nssd), a better
quality of life. The report describes the process for developing the nssd, the
strategy’s aims and objectives, and the principles behind it. There are also
short sections on measuring progress of the strategy and implementing the strategy,
and promoting sustainable development at the subnational level. The final part
of the document concerns lessons learned from the UK experience.
